Workshop of Whole Genome Sequencing Fungi (WGS-F)
The NGS-based whole-genome sequencing (WGS) allows microbiology researchers to sequence hundreds of microorganisms with the power of multiplexing. In this context, the WGS-F’ aim is to understand the full range of adequate protocols based on NGS technologies (Illumina and Oxford Nanopore) focusing on the different challenges encounter by researchers in sequencing technologies and describing the enormous impact of fungi on biotechnology. A practical session will be planned to describe the critical steps and potential pitfalls of the protocol and the quantity and quality control of prepared libraries. In the framework of our HE twinning project « NGS-4-ECOPROD », the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (UCBL) in France (WP3 Leader) in the collaboration with the CBS (Coordinator) have the great pleasure to organize the WGS-F 2023 with the participation the Georg August University of Göttingen (UGOE) in Germany.
