workshop « Knowledge transfer from RR to market application »
Date : May 23, 2023
A workshop entitled “Knowledge Transfer from R&D to Market Application” was held and delivered by Prof. Souad Rouis. The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of transforming research and development (R&D) results into practical solutions and marketable products.
The participants included the WP1 task leaders of the NGS-4-ECOPROD project, along with their PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. The discussions focused on the four eco-products developed within WP1: biopesticides, extremozymes, bioplastics, and ergothioneine.
The workshop addressed key aspects of innovation valorization, technology transfer, and the pathways required to move research outcomes from the laboratory to industrial and commercial applications. It also provided insights into the challenges and strategies involved in bridging the gap between scientific research and market needs.
For the NGS-4-ECOPROD project, this workshop was particularly relevant as it strengthened the capacity of the research teams to better position their results for sustainable industrial applications and eco-innovation, thereby supporting the overall objective of developing environmentally friendly bio-based products.
